The Southeast Regional Sea Turtle Network (SERSTN) values your participation in the 6th Southeast Regional Sea Turtle Meeting and we want to ensure that you receive maximum return for your registration fee.  We have contracted with the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, AL, to meet your accommodation needs. By booking at this property, you will be entitled to the discounted registration fee noted below.  Since we are under contract with the hotel, we must meet the contracted room block.  By booking at this property you will be supporting SERSTN and our ability to continue to provide a top-quality meeting for years to come.  We look forward to seeing you in Alabama in February!

On-line registration will close at midnight on February 20, 2023. An Early Nester registration discount will apply to all registrations submitted prior to January 1st, 2023.  To qualify for the discounted hotel registration rates, you must book your hotel room and register by January 27, 2023 using the SERSTM room block. Reserve your hotel today!

Please note: Reservations will not be accepted during the month of December when the hotel is closed for renovations.

For registrations following the online registration deadline, on-site registration will be available starting February 27, 2023 for both full and daily rates. Full details for the registration rates are as follows:

*Local Resident Qualification:
-Must register using an address within 50 miles of Orange Beach, AL

Please Note: SERSTN reserves the right to amend the applicable distance to qualify for the Local Resident Rate depending on the location of the meeting.

**Single Day Registration includes:
-Admission to Workshops, Oral Presentations and Poster Presentations for the Chosen Day
-Entry to Silent Auction and Exhibitor Rooms
-Free Refreshments During Breaks
-Name Badge

Please Note: Admission to Welcome and Farewell Socials Must Be Purchased Separately for Single Day.

Social Events: Full Registration includes admission to both the Opening ($20) and Farewell Socials ($40). Additional Social Event admission tickets for guests or daily meeting registrants will be available (Cash Only) on-site at the Registration Desk or online prior to the January 14th online deadline.

Submitting an Abstract? Once you are registered for the meeting you will have access to the Abstract Submission System by logging into the SERSTN website and visiting the submit abstract page. If you would like to submit an abstract but are unable to register due to employer administrative limitations, please contact registrar@serstn.org and we will work with you on a solution.

Cancellation Policy

Registrants may request a cancellation until January 27, 2023.

Please note: A 10% fee will be charged against all cancellations to cover processing costs.

Meeting T-shirts

T-shirts will be available for purchase during registration. Shirts are available in men’s, women’s, and moisture wicking styles in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. In order to ensure that you get the style and size of your choice, please purchase your t-shirt at the time of registration. We will have a limited supply for sale on-site. The deadline for online T-shirt order is January 1, 2023. T-shirts may be purchased during the registration process or separately by using this form.

Volunteers

Meeting volunteers help make every meeting run smoothly so participants may have a memorable and educational experience. We are currently looking for volunteers to fill a number of positions. Some positions may allow you to network with meeting participants while others may provide a behind-the-scenes look of making a great meeting for all. Check out the Volunteer opportunities. Covid-19 Safety

As the SERSTM approaches, the Planning Committee and Board of Directors are closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and are following all CDC guidelines in our decision-making. SERSTM’s Covid-19 Policy will be updated as needed.
