This website is owned and operated by Southeast Regional Sea Turtle Network (SERSTN) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located at 684 Omaha Dr., Norcross, GA 30093. We can be reached via e-mail at president@serstm.org. We may change this privacy policy from time to time by updating this posting. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to this policy will mean you accept those changes.

Your privacy and security when visiting SERSTN’s website are important to us. As you browse our website or register for our meeting, you can be sure that your transactions are secure, your e-mail and mailing addresses are confidential, and that we will not sell or provide any data supplied by you to any third-party.

For visitors to our website we collect:

  • Information about our visitor’s domain (i.e. aol.com, princeton.edu), the last page visited before browsing to our website, keywords used in search engines and the pages visited at our site. We do not collect information about our visitor’s e-mail address.

  • Aggregate (General Tracking) information about pages that users visit on our site.
  • User specific information about pages that users visits on our site.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
