Be Part of the SERSTM Experience!
SERSTM wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers! Volunteers play an essential role in creating a welcoming, organized, and memorable experience for everyone attending the meeting. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow sea turtle professionals, expand your network, and get more involved in the SERSTN community.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with a variety of meeting activities, including:
- Registration
- Silent Auction
- Oral Presentations
- Poster Room
- Welcome Social
- Workshops
Whether you’re a seasoned conference-goer or attending SERSTM for the first time, volunteering is a great way to meet new people, lend a helping hand, and be part of what makes this meeting special!
Some volunteer positions may require specific computer skills, so please let us know if you are proficient in programs such as Microsoft Excel or PowerPoint.
You can sign up to volunteer at the 2027 SERSTM during the registration process, or you can sign up in person at the registration check-in desk. Once you have selected to be a volunteer, you will receive an email from the Volunteer Committee to confirm your details. Available Volunteer Positions
All volunteer position descriptions are general and may be adjusted based on meeting needs. More detailed instructions and expectations will be provided by the conference chairs when you arrive for your scheduled shift.
All volunteers are asked to attend the volunteer meeting on February 8th at 5:30 PM to review assignments, ask questions, and prepare for the meeting. Location TBD.
